Saturday Morning Painting Workshops
Held monthly from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sac Fine Arts Center
Join me for a series of focused, in-person painting workshops designed to elevate your technical skills. Each three-hour session dives into a different foundational technique, from establishing solid value underpaintings to mastering a limited palette.
These workshops are ideal for oil and acrylic painters looking to strengthen their traditional realism skills. Experienced watercolorists are also warmly welcome to join, provided they are comfortable independently adapting the broader techniques to their specific medium.
Materials:
I ask students to bring their own materials so that when the workshop ends, you already have a familiar, working kit ready to go for practicing at home. Please do not feel any pressure to buy the most expensive tubes or hunt down exact brands! Art is flexible, and this list is just a starting point:
